TIG welding

Tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding offers many advantages over other fusion welding methods, such as the complete absence of spatter and low welding-fume emissions.

Since TIG welding uses a non-consumable electrode, the process is ideal for welding so-called root passes or in forced positions due to the decoupling of current and welding consumables.

The arc that burns in the argon plasma, between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece enables very delicate and high-quality welds thanks to easy-to-control handling.

Welding in an autoclave

The idea of the protective effect of argon was continued in our specially designed autoclave. In contrast to Wig – hand welding, there is 100% protection of the seam and root side. This leads to a weld seam not chemically affected by ambient gases.

The lack of oxidation is visible through the largely uncoloured seam.

Orbital welding

Orbital welding is mainly used in pipeline construction to achieve the highest possible seam quality, and refers to a fully mechanical inert gas welding process in which the arc is guided without interruption 360 degrees around round bodies or pipes.

We offer this procedure for series production as well as smaller pipe diameters. Our Fronius orbital system offers maximum flexibility. Feel free to contact us if you have further questions about our service portfolio and various individual application options.
